was founded in 2003 by Adam Slater*,
a former U.S. criminal prosecutor and Bay Street securities lawyer. Based in Toronto, Ontario,
ezDivorce
is an innovative divorce service that provides low cost/high quality
assistance with 'simple', uncontested or joint divorces for Ontario,
Canada.
ezDivorce is based on the concept that
most divorcing couples just want a
straight, 'clean' divorce and do not want to spend hundreds or thousands
more than they have to.
Some of our customers choose to use
regular family law lawyers to negotiate and draft their complicated
separation agreements, and then save hundreds or thousands of dollars by using
ezDivorce
to finalize their simple divorce.
Getting divorced without using a traditional divorce lawyer is not
for everyone. You may wish to consult with one prior to engaging
ezDivorce.
While you are not required by the court
to use a lawyer to obtain a divorce in Ontario, it is a very good idea to obtain legal
advice by consulting with a lawyer other than Adam Slater before filing for divorce.
Obtaining legal advice from a lawyer can help you understand the
effects a divorce can have on your rights and obligations and it is
highly recommended that you do so before purchasing
ezDivorce's
services as you will not
receive such advice from Adam Slater or anyone else affiliated with
ezDivorce.
